PRESENTATION:

A project is a temporary endeavor undertaken to create a unique product, service, or result. The frecuency of the use of this mechanism, specially in the field of IT and communications, have become to the creation of a discipline called Project Management and the knowledge of this discipline is basic for future IT profesionals.

Project Management brings a unique focus shaped by the goals, resources and schedule of each project, the value of that focus is proved by the rapid, worldwide growth of project Management as a recognized and strategic organizational competence, as a subject for training and education and as a career path.

For the development of the subject we will use PMBOK - Project Management Body of knowledge built by the Project Menegement Institute (PMI), an organization dedicated to collect documentation and learning techniques of project management.

 

PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCES ACQUIRED IN THE SUBJECT:

This course will use the following methodologies in order to give the students the best opportunity to develop their competences: lectures, practical cases, exercises and cousework presentations. Participation in class will be accounted in the final score. All readings, practices and works will be announced using the Online University Platform (pdu.usj.es).
